Machala, Ecuador

Machala is a quaint town of about 250,000 people. It is the only coastal city that is free of leishmaniasis due to being surrounded with banana plantations. Machala is more of a big town than a city and has a couple decent sized shopping malls. Temperatures range from 75*F in the "winter-time" to 90*F in the summertime with close to 80% humidity year round. This photo is of its central park.

Machala has an isolated beach on an island so there is no riff-raff to bother you.
