Telephone Callback Service (to call USA for 5 cents more
than local cost):
Enlinea
How it works: You call their number in the USA and then hang up
after one ring. The system recognizes your telephone number and
then calls you up from their caller in Paraguay which has a rapid
satellite connection with the USA. Then you enter the destination
number and the caller in the USA (which is connected to you via
satellite) makes the call connection for you and your credit card
is charged. (Or you can Western Union money to them beforehand from
which they can deduct costs.)
Mail Service from USA to you:
SkyBox will allow you a mailbox
in their Miami location and will get packages or letters to their
Asuncion office within a week. Minimum cost is $4 for each item and
they charge $4 per pound. You can also send letters to the USA for
free. The service is more rapid and secure than using regular mail
service but it's still run by latinos so all credit cards and
checks are fair game to be stolen. Their office is on Estrella across the street from Unicentro.
